為地球村出一分力，請參加香港無冷氣夜2012！ For the sake of our Global village, please join the Hong Kong No Air Con Night 2012!

香港今年夏季經歷了自一九九九年以來首個十號颶風信號，二零一二年八月更是有紀錄以來其中一個最熱的八月。各類極端天氣帶來的天災越來越頻密及嚴重，所以減少溫室氣體排放是刻不容緩。

為響應環保、負起作為地球村一份子的責任，環保觸覺今年再接再厲，繼續舉辦的「香港無冷氣夜2012」，以行動保護環境，節能減碳。

各界人士只需於網頁登記，並於2012年9月27日(星期四) 晚上與家人一同關掉家中的冷氣機一晚 (建議為晚上7時至翌日早上7時)，便可與數以萬計的參加者一同為保護環境出一分力。

每個參加家庭當晚估計可節省5.6公斤二氧化碳排放，若能達到主辦單位的8萬家庭目標，便能減排500噸二氧化碳。

本會希望各界士民、包括政府官員、公司機構職員及會員、學校師生等等都能報名參與、身體力行支持此項極具意義的環保活動，敬請提早於9月24日前登記，為地球出一分力。

This summer, Hong Kong experienced the Hurricane Signal No.10, the first time since 1999. August 2012 was one of the hottest August on record. We all expect more severe and frequent extreme weather, thus we have to action in reducing greenhouse gas emission now!

In order to protect our environment and shoulder our responsibility as we are all living in the Global village, we hope you to join the “Hong Kong No Air Con Night 2012” again. To continue our good practice in energy saving and CO₂ emission reduction, your active participation is most welcomed.

To take action, you are invited to start by fulfilling a registration form in the website. The next simple step is to switch off your air-conditioners on 27^th Sept 2012 (Thursday) night with your family. You are encouraged to switch off your air-conditioners during 7pm to 7am the next day.

It is estimated that 5.6 kg CO₂ will be reduced from domestic per household. 500 tons of CO₂ will be reduced if the target of 80,000 households participated in the whole event.

We welcome all of you, including government officials, staff and members of companies and organizations, as well as students and teaching staff in schools, to join this meaningful event, so please register for the programme before 24^th Sept in order to protect our world together.
